Sample Traces

About the Traces

  • The traces were taken from a variety of Fibre Channel or SCSI initiators and targets.

  • The traces are intended to provide examples for instructional use only.

  • Many of the traces were taken using pre-production implementations and are not meant to be used to determine final behavior or performance characteristics of those implementations.

  • Several of the traces exhibit behavior that may be inconsistent with a strict reading of the relevant standards and therefore should not be used as the basis of new designs.

  • File sizes shown are in compressed/uncompressed format

The Fibre Channel traces require the Ancot trace viewer.
This viewer can be downloaded free of charge from the Ancot web site at www.ancot.com
(look for the FTP site under Support. Look in the fcaccess/FCAccess2000 directory.)
